Hi Yvon, My name is Amanda, and I am sending you a pic of my beloved pet named storm. He is about 11 years old and he is my baby. I have had him since he was a wee puppy. He has always been a very healthy dog, had a minor surgery awhile back. Lately all he does is sleep. he eats he sleeps, I am just wondering if you can connect to him and see if there is anything health wise i should be concerned about? A couple years ago we acquired another little dog im wondering how he views her and if he is happy she is here? Anything else you can pick up off him would be greatly appreciated....I look forward to your reading and to hear what he has to say.. Best Regards Amanda
You have a great friend in Storm. I see that he is a shepherd and husky cross mixed with maybe lab? He believes that he has done his job being your loyal friend all these years.
But he has pain in his joints especially his back hips. You can massage him and give him pain medicine - even an aspirin a day. And with a good diet - one that is not so high in protein (he requires more maintenance food at his age now rather than food higher in protein) so that he can lose some weight off of his legs. Giving him this, lots of love and a little more exercise will give him much more comfort. He will begin to feel a lot better.
But I feel him to be a bit depressed here and although he loves his little companion there, there is also a little bit of jealousy. Mainly this is because he is the older dog - a bit slower, lazier and a little sorer as compared to the spunky companion around him who he sees playing much more and actually getting more positive attention than himself. You need to change your energy around Storm and show him more positive love. And not to be so "petty." In other words, instead of going up to him and saying to him aw poor Storm eh old buddy ... instead of speaking with that negative intonation, cheer him on instead. Be more positive around and with him. He feels down on himself because of that. Like how do you feel when for example you have a medical condition or illness and I were to almost constantly pat you on the shoulder lightly and say "awww poor Amanda you're so sick. I feel so sorry for you." Stop feeling sorry for Storm because even though you don't say it outwardly he can FEEL it in your energy. And as a result he is now starting to feel sorry for himself. Just like humans dogs and other animals not only feel depression but also lowered self-esteems. But Storm he is a good boy and he definitely has a HUGE heart still within him.
Also, when you pet him, please check for any sort of abnormal lumps. I am not 100% sure on this, but I feel something drawing my attention - on the side of his belly. By the way you can also ask your vet for pain medication for Storm and ointment to rub on his joints. It seems that he may be starting to feel the effects of some early arthritis ... and I would also suggest that perhaps you ask your vet to give him a test for hip dysplasia - as I do still also feel something there with regards to his hips. German shepherds and labs are known to develop this condition, so I do strongly encourage you to seek out testing just to be on the safe side. Storm will definitely love you for this.
I hope that I have helped you with Storm. Dogs too as I say can get depressed and sore. He's been there for you all these years. He needs lots of tender loving care - more exercise, pain management, more positive attitude and energy coming from his owners, and a diet that is not only restricted but also much lower in protein at this stage in his life (because of Storm not getting much exercise and eating the higher protein foods and perhaps even table scraps, its hard to judge by all his wonderful fur but I am very certain that he is overweight by 10 pounds at least. He could lose at least that much weight ... which could also definitely help him with alleviating some of the pain that he may be experiencing in his joints and hips - because realize that's where all the weight goes to ... his legs and hips are holding up all that weight).
Amanda I do need to urge you the importance of changing to a more positive tone with Storm - having another dog is great, but keep cheering Storm on too. His depression, coupled with his weight and pains, it is actually like a vicious circle one is feeding off of the other and making him more depressed and such. This is why he sleeps and eats and sleeps and eats some more. He becomes depressed, sleeps, feels pain, sleeps some more to escape the pain and trouble of carrying that weight, eats some more, feels tired again, and so he goes and sleeps again. It ALL is a constant cycle that is truly feeding one concept into the other and on and on. it gets to a point where he once in a while wonders if he is actually still needed around (but this is HIS way of thinking of course - his views because of his depression). But this cycle CAN be broken, and like I say with a little bit of tender loving care I see Storm as snapping out of it.
Good luck with Storm he is a very loving and gentle giant and friend. But once again he needs some attention both emotional and physical in order to get him back to his old self again.
I will pray for him and you, and hope that this has helped you both in even the smallest of ways.
Amanda's response to Yvon's reading:
Dear Yvon I cant thank you enough for this reading, you truly connected to my big guy. And yes he is a german shepherd, husky cross mix with some australian shepherd too. And you are 100 % right! He does have the abnormal lumps and we have had them tested and one even removed, there what's known as fat sacks, so his vet keeps a close eye on them , your spot on about the tone as that's exactly what I do without even realizing it. I will definitely check out his hips n change his food , if it is ok id like to send you his pic when he gets his summer cut as most u see right now is fur, he doesn't even look the same dog come summer.. Many thank yous n hugs Yvon , I'm glad I found the website and you as you are a true psychic pet animal communicator.. much love and gratefulness Amanda.
